News & Upcoming Events at Creekside

Parents Night Out – January 28
Creekside will be hosting a “Parents Night Out” for families with children fifth grade and younger from 4-7 p.m.  Child care will be provided allowing parents an evening out. Please take advantage of this ministry to you!  There is no cost, just RSVP to Tom or Christine Burgett with how many kids will be attending and their ages.

Open House and Shower for Emily Fields – February 3
Ladies, come help us welcome our new pastor’s wife, Emily Fields  from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the home of Sarah Vander Griend (2715 NW 23rd Terrace, Gainesville). Desserts will be served and a card/gift table will be available.  Emily is registered at Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Macy’s, and Crate & Barrel under the name Emily Blanchard, wedding 10/15/2011).  Questions?  Contact  Debbie Garren.

Engaged Couples Breakfast – February 4
Creekside will be hosting a breakfast for all engaged couples from 9:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday, February 4th.  Following the breakfast there will be a time of study and discussion on engagement, marriage, and other timely topics. If you plan to attend, please RSVP to Steve Gregg by next Sunday, January 29th.

Church Family Meeting – February 12
The Elders would like to have a meeting for the church family on Sunday, February 12th at 9:00  to discuss the church 2012 budget.  Regular Sundays @ 9 classes will be cancelled on this day.  Light refreshments will be served. 

Fellowship Lunch – February 12
Everyone is welcome to attend!  Whether you’re a first time visitor or have been at Creekside for decades, we hope you’ll join us!   It’s a chance to relax, kick back, enjoy a delicious lunch, and get to know your Creekside brothers and sisters a little better.

Blood Drive – February 12
The Civitan Bloodmobile will be here from 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Each donation can save up to three lives.  Please feel free to donate any time during the worship service. Free t-shirts will be given to all donors.  You can help save a life!

EFCA Southeastern District Conference – February 23-24
Creekside will be hosting this event this year.  More details soon!

Mission Sunday – March 4
Our special speaker this year will be Lance Terrill, a former Creeksider who along with his wife Erin (also a former Creeksider), will be heading for the mission field in East Asia  this summer.

College Summer Mission Trip to Hungary – July 11-30
This is our 8th time going to Hungary and we are excited to be able to continue to serve along side our brothers and sisters there. We will be working with two Hungarian churches with their English-Bible camps.  These camps are primarily outreach to youth that do not currently attend church, and also serve as an opportunity to strengthen the church’s’ existing youth groups.  For more information, please contact Steve Gregg.
