MOPS International is a non-profit organization which is dedicated to empowering and inspiring women as they seek to be the best mothers possible. Creekside MOPS is an extension of MOPS International whose purpose is to encourage, equip and develop every mother of preschoolers to realize her potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.
At Creekside MOPS, we know that being a mother of a preschooler is a challenging time in your life. At a Creekside MOPS meeting, we will seek to refresh and encourage you while your children are lovingly cared for in our MOPPETS program. We want this to be a special place for you to not only come and meet other women passing through this precious stage of life, but to hear effective ideas for raising healthy, happy children. Better moms make better children, which in turn, make a better world.
MOPS…because mothering matters.
How does Creekside MOPS help?
Creekside MOPS seeks to meet six specific needs of mothers. These needs are for identity, growth, relationship, help, perspective, and hope. The basic schedule of an Creekside MOPS meeting is arranged to integrate opportunities for relaxation, learning, meaningful discussion, and creative activities.
When and where will the group meet?
Creekside MOPS will meet at Creekside Community Church every other Wednesday, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
What about Childcare?
The MOPPETS program is for children from birth through age 5. Each child will be placed in an age appropriate class where he or she will have playtime, complete a craft or activity, and enjoy a snack.
What does it cost?
The cost for the MOPS international registration is $31.95 and goes directly to MOPS. With that you will receive a welcome packet, a quarterly magazine and weekly emails from MOPS international. Our group separately also has dues to cover our childcare and other costs for the group. This year the dues are $45 per semester, or $80 if you pay in advance of the spring semester. If you don’t bring your child to the meetings (if you have them in preschool or alternative childcare) the dues are only $30 per semester or $50 in advance for spring. BUT – if finances are a problem please let one of the coordinators know because we offer scholarships; we do not want ANY mom to be left out because the dues are too much for her family to pay.
