Sundays at 9:00am
According to Jesus, one of the ways we should love God is with our minds. This is why we offer Christian Ed classes throughout the year. From preschool on up, these classes are cover a wide range of biblical texts, theological concepts, and current issues from a biblical perspective.
COMING THIS FALL... Our Sundays at 9 classes start back up September 8.
A Cancer Doctor Wrestles with Job
This six-week class will explore the book of Job and what it has to say to those suffering in the 21st century. In an age of information and technology where we seem to avoid pain and suffering at all costs, we need the wisdom of Job now more than ever. We will read sizable portions of the text and try to put ourselves in the place Job and others who have or are truly suffering. To accomplish this we will consider the historical context, the poetic form and the theology underlying the discourses of each of the characters; Job, Eliphaz, Zophar, Bildad, and Elihu. Finally we will listen to God’s response both within the text and then as our Incarnate Lord Jesus.
The Generations Tell Their Stories of Life with God (Creekside Women)
Each week, a Creekside sister will tell her story of life with Christ. She will use a passage from Scripture to frame her story and encourage the class. Women, you will want to be part of this!
